ramp-tom-racca-200px-150x150Ramp, a leading provider of next-generation video management and delivery solutions for large enterprises, announced the appointment of Tom Racca as president and CEO. Racca brings more than 25 years of experience in leadership roles, including chief marketing officer at Clique Intelligence, president and chief operating officer of Connected Living, and CEO of BurstPoint Networks. At Clique Intelligence, Racca added more than a dozen high-profile accounts including Bloomberg, Marriott, and Dreamworks. At Connected Living, Racca helped increase sales by 37 percent in just six months.

“With his extensive experience in marketing, sales, engineering, operations and finance at large and emerging technology companies, Tom has the ideal background to lead the Ramp team to the next level of growth,” said Paul Ciriello, founder of Fairhaven Capital Partners, a Ramp investment partner, and Ramp board member. “Ramp is poised to transition from industry visionary to market leader with Tom at the helm. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”

Racca’s early career included engineering positions at Prime Computer, Proteon and Digital Equipment Corporation, and sales and marketing management roles for large technology companies such as Hewlett Packard and Siemens. Racca also founded his own management consulting firm, Racca Associates, LLC, and IQ NetSolutions, an integrated VoIP technology concept which he sold in 2003.

“Video is, and is projected to remain, the favored medium for information consumption, so I’m excited for the opportunity to lead a company on the cutting edge of helping enterprises get the most value from their video and audio content,” said Racca.

Racca holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science and management information systems from Northeastern University and is active in several charitable organizations. He was also recognized by CRN Magazine as one of the 25 Most Innovative Executives of 2010.
