Jim co-founded TD Capital Ventures in 2001 and Fairhaven Capital Partners in 2007. He has invested in and served on the boards of companies including: Cocona, Contour Semiconductor, HelloSoft (acquired by Imagination Technologies LSE:IMG.L), innoPad (acquired by FNS Technologies), NanoSteel and SiRiFIC Wireless/Icera (acquired by NVidia NASDAQ:NVDA).
Jim was the Chief Technical Architect for the Content Bridge division of Adero, Inc. (acquired by Inktomi), performed strategy consulting at Bain and has held several senior technical roles at Motorola, Inc. with the group that developed the world’s first two-way pager. Jim earned S.B. and S.M. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Jim serves as the Vice Chairman of the board of Volunteers of America Massachusetts. He holds two United States patents.
