Wan Li joined Fairhaven Capital in 2009 and focuses on investments in enterprise software, cyber security, and consumer internet of things.
Prior to Fairhaven, Wan Li ran product development and marketing initiatives for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, the company’s flagship business software application. Under his tenure, Dynamics CRM became the fastest growing business in the company’s history and launched the first SaaS offering at Microsoft. Wan Li has also spent time at Google in online advertising, at Morgan Stanley in technology investment banking, and at Merrill Lynch in IT.
Wan Li holds an MBA from Harvard, and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, where he attended on scholarship. At MIT, he completed graduate thesis work under Professor Andrew Lo, pioneering quantitative approaches to measure the impact of consumer sentiment on financial markets.
Wan Li is the founder of MIT Alumni Angels of Boston, an MIT alumni-based angel investment group. He is Vice Chairman of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge where he created Invest Smart, an introductory course for new startup investors. Wan Li also serves as Executive Chairman of the New England Venture Network (NEVN), the largest young venture capitalist organization on the East Coast.
