“Amplifying the Value of Content With Social Distribution” by Jim Anderson, the CEO of SocialFlow

“Amplifying the Value of Content With Social Distribution” by Jim Anderson, the CEO of SocialFlow

The battle for attention in social media feeds by brands has become fierce.  Content creation and social publishing continue to grow, but consumers have no more hours in the day to consume the available content.

What once could be accomplished by stellar content development is no longer enough.  Without distribution, even the best content is more likely than not to be lost in the clutter.

It’s time for marketers to rethink their social publishing strategies, as it’s no longer good enough to schedule content at times that seemingly work for others (e.g., “Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. ET”).  Nor should it be good enough for you to eyeball and guess what messages should go to your audience at which times.

MediaCom Selects Celtra to Boost Mobile Display Advertising Capabilities

MediaCom Selects Celtra to Boost Mobile Display Advertising Capabilities

BOSTON, Mass. and LONDON, UK: MediaCom, one of the world’s leading media communications specialists has partnered with Celtra leading mobile display ad creation and analytics provider to deliver more effective advertising opportunities to its clients.

The partnership will make it significantly simpler and more cost effective to produce, manage and monitor delivery of mobile advertising. MediaCom clients will benefit from the rapidly growing mobile market in three key ways:

  • They will only need to build one centralised version of their rich mobile display ads rather than having to work with individual publishers and multiple tools.
  • Advertisers will only need a single creative build to launch campaigns, enabling them to get their message across much faster and with much wider reach than they are currently able to.
  • It will provide centralised, consistent reporting right across the globe, allowing MediaCom and its partners to track impressions delivered, shown and billed.

The global partnership will provide particular benefits to multi-national advertisers, helping them save money on ad production across markets by providing a platform by which centrally produced creative can be shared with local teams. They will also be able to track which creative has run in which market.

The formal partnership agreement follows a year of testing with MediaCom first using the Celtra platform in early 2013. It has since been used to run new innovative formats, such as the IAB Rising Stars, Social Rich Media for Facebook and Twitter and allow its creative partners to explore new ways of user engagement such as swipe and shake to expand.

Celtra’s cloud-based platform means very quickly local markets can take advantage of rich media mobile advertising and with Celtra’s comprehensive training and support, MediaCom is instantly able to extend its creative and insight offering.

Ben Phillips, Global Head of Mobile at MediaCom, said, “The world’s leading brands know that mobile advertising has become essential to customer engagement. Celtra’s best in market mobile display capabilities will play a critical role in simplifying the challenges of advertising on mobile for MediaCom clients and help us drive tangible business benefits, such as acquisition for direct response clients and customer retention for brand-led clients.”

Mihael Mikek, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Celtra, said, “Mobile is poised to become one of the most influential advertising channels and is quickly transforming our industry. As this always-on trend continues with ever more demanding consumers, brands will increasingly turn to their agencies for solutions for best cross-screen display advertising that can not only boost overall awareness and engagement but also truly measure success. We are excited to partner with MediaCom and look forward to together driving effectiveness and innovation in mobile first brand display advertising on the global scale.”

Co3 Systems Appoints First Vice President of Sales

Seasoned IT Security Executive Gene Fay to Lead Worldwide Sales of Co3’s Incident Response Management Platform

Cambridge, Mass.—March 11, 2014—Co3 Systems, the leader in Incident Response Management Systems, today announced the appointment of Gene Fay as vice president of sales.  Fay will be responsible for driving worldwide sales for Co3’s growing portfolio of incident response management solutions in the U.S. and worldwide.

“Incidents continue to plague even the biggest and most security-prepared businesses and governments, yet time and time again we see too many organizations tangled in a web of complexity and inefficiencies when handling them,” said John Bruce, CEO at Co3 Systems.  “Our customers have reduced their response times by up to 90 percent, driving incrediblegrowth for our business.  Gene has a stellar reputation and wealth of experience in the industry, and a track record of building successful sales teams. We’re confident we’ll continue to grow rapidly.”

Reporting to CEO John Bruce, Fay will be based in the company’s headquarters in Cambridge, Mass.  Prior to Co3, he served as president of Nine Technology, which was sold to Imation Corporation; vice president (VP) of sales and business development at VKernel, where he grew sales by 300 percent; and VP of worldwide sales and global alliances for the security information and event management business unit of RSA, the security division of EMC.  Earlier in his career, he also worked at Avid Sports (as the founder) and Avid Technology.

“Co3 is a driving force behind the industry’s evolution beyond prevention and detection, to encompass response,” said Fay. “I’ve seen Co3 make some exciting strides over the past year and I’m excited to help drive the company’s next phase of growth—helping to make Co3 synonymous with Incident Response Management.”

Fay earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a High Tech MBA from Northeastern University. He continues to be a part of the Northeastern community, teaching in the MBA program on a variety of subjects from social media and new product development, to sales and corporate strategy.  In 2011, Fay was named to Everything Channel’s CRN’s Channel Chiefs list for his commitment to the managed services market.

Co3 Systems was the first to market a daily use and preparedness tool for security and privacy incidents and is considered today as the industry standard. Co3 enables organizations of all sizes to efficiently prepare for and rapidly manage the incident response process for security incidents or privacy breaches via a platform composed of two modules. The Co3 Privacy Module provides an easy, automated way to ensure consistency and accountability—across teams, organizations and external stakeholders in any geography and under any jurisdiction—in managing incidents that concern personally identifiable information (PII). The Co3 Security Module allows automated, single-pane incident management in a secure, isolated environment for general security incidents including malware infections, DDoS attacks, device or Intellectual Property theft and system intrusions.
