Ramp Continues to Add Top Industry Talent, Lures Former Oracle Executive
“Steve’s proven track record in marketing, sales, alliances and business development make him another valuable addition to Ramp’s senior management team, as we move forward quickly and aggressively,” said Ramp CEO Tom Racca. “He brings an unusually strong combination of experience at both nimble startups and the largest companies in the B2B tech world.”
Over the course of eight years, Connor was the Director of Global Strategic Alliances at Oracle and Director of Strategic Alliances at Sun Microsystems. Subsequently, he led growth, development, and acquisition efforts at Evity, culminating in its sale to BMC Software for $100 million.
“Ramp is building an experienced, industry-savvy team that will take the company to the next level,” said Liza Benson, Partner at StarVest and Ramp board member.
Said Steve Connor, “Most enterprises cannot match the ease of search and online video performance that consumers take for granted. At Ramp, we make enterprise video as available, searchable and sharable as any other piece of content, so enterprises can unlock its hidden value. And Ramp’s innovative content delivery network fits into existing infrastructures without the complexity and cost of a P2P overlay upgrade.”
Connor’s earlier experience includes sales and alliance management positions with Wall Data, Uniplex Software, Ashton-Tate, CompuCom, and United Technologies Semiconductor. He holds a BBA degree in Marketing from the University of Texas, Arlington. Connor lives with his family in Dallas, TX. He is an avid outdoorsman and has taken multiple trips to the Amazon River.
